‘Possible handgun’ was a plastic toy

A policeman talks to a group of secondary school pupils at the corner of Princes and Dowling Sts following an incident at the Great King St bus hub yesterday.

A police spokesman said officers responded to a call of a man with a "possible handgun" near Princes St about 3.10pm.

Police located the man and confirmed it was a plastic toy gun. No charges were laid.
