Building contractor Ben Naylor dies

Building contractor Ben Naylor died at Yvette Williams Retirement Village in Dunedin on Tuesday. He was 92.

Mr Naylor was the former manager of Naylor Love Construction, a firm with its origins in the company founded by his father in 1910.

Mr Naylor joined the firm in 1947.

The former Otago Boys' High School pupil was an officer with the 8th Field Engineers during World War 2 and a commander of the territorial 3rd Field Squadron based in Dunedin.
