An internship programme founded by the Dunedin City Council has been chosen as a finalist in AUT's Excellence in Business Support Awards.
The Dunedin Business Internship Programme founded by the council in 2008 works with the University of Otago and Otago Polytechnic to help local businesses secure the talents of students.
Chanel O'Brien, who co-ordinates the programme on behalf of the DCC, said being chosen as a finalist was a "real accolade" for the Dunedin business community.
"This has been a great collaboration between the tertiary institutions, the DCC and the business community. Being a finalist is great recognition of this team effort," she said.
