Reports of a person wielding a knife on Princes St this morning has prompted a police response.
A police spokeswoman said they had received a report of a person with a knife on Princes St just before 9am.
The person who made the call had left the scene, but police were arriving at the scene.
Police have spoken to a man in relation to the incident, a spokeswoman said.
"At this time we do not intend to file charges, and will be ensuring the man receives the necessary support."
