Water sample results taken from an East Taieri creek fouled by human waste are expected next week, the Otago Regional Council says.
The samples were taken on Tuesday from a creek running through the Orchard Grove subdivision, days after residents complained about a plumbing fault which caused a sewerage pipe to empty into the creek.
Yesterday, regional council staff said no further action would be taken until results were in, which was expected "early next week".
Staff were also preparing a report for the ORC's director of resource management, Selva Selvarajah.
That report was expected to be completed in several weeks.
