Authorities are investigating a house fire in Hamilton overnight.
Emergency services were called to Nixon St about midnight, where they found a two-storey house well-involved.
There were people home at the time, but no one was injured.
A northern fire communications spokesman said this morning a fire investigator would be at the scene today.
The circumstances of the blaze appeared to be suspicious, he said.
Four appliances responded to the fire, which was put out reasonably quickly.
