A hunter has died in an incident near Lake Heron in Canterbury, police say.
Police were notified about 10.35am on Sunday "of a group of hunters getting into difficulty near Mt Arrowsmith when one of them crashed in an off-road vehicle".
A spokesperson said the body had been recovered.
"Enquiries into the circumstances of the death are ongoing."
