After the Christchurch earthquakes, students in Room 13 at Dunedin North Intermediate were role playing the event. They did this activity so well that they realised very quickly how the people in Christchurch must be feeling.
The day after they did their drama activity they decided to put together a plan to help out Christchurch. Today, Wednesday 15 September, the students collected and donated 185 cans to the Salvation Army, which is taking the cans to Christchurch today.
The class is also organising a in-school raffle for students only with prizes donated from generous shops around Dunedin. The raffle has been supported by Bike Otago, Pet Planet, Animal Attractions, Bed Bath and Beyond, Baby Devine, Chocolat, Cafe Rue, Switched On Otago Ltd., Gecko and Art Zone.
