A man is dead after a crash on State Highway 1 in Winchester, north of Temuka, last night.
Police said a 34-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of the Temuka-Orari Highway (SH1) and Barker Rd.
Police were called at 10.20pm and found the man dead at the scene, police said.
The serious crash unit was investigating.
