Police are investigating after reports a car may have driven off the road into the Clutha River near the Roxburgh Dam earlier this evening.
A police spokeswoman said they were alerted by a call from a member of the public about what appeared to be tyre marks and damage to a fence in Tamblyn Dr.
She said police had not yet been able to confirm if there was a vehicle in the river.
