A Lotto player from Otago is more than $18 million richer after striking the Powerball last night.
The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto, the prize being made up of $18 million from the Powerball first division and an extra $250,000 from the Lotto First Division.
It's the first Powerball win this year, and follows a run of three Powerball wins in December.
Three other Lott players won $250,000 each.
Those tickets were sold at Feilding Video Centre in Feilding, Tony's Stationery and Lotto in Maungaturoto and on MyLotto to a player from New Plymouth.
Strike Four rolled over and will be worth $300,000 on Wednesday.
