Car winds up in Clutha, minor crashes in South

No-one was seriously hurt when a car went out of control on State Highway 8 and into the Clutha River near Millers Flat this morning, police say.

The crash happened between the Ettrick-Raes Junction Rd and Teviot Rd about 9.50am.

An occupant of the car was taken to Roxburgh for medical treatment but was not believed to be seriously injured, a police spokeswoman said.

Meanwhile, a car hit a bank on the Crown Range Rd, near the Cardrona Valley Rd, at 11.40am today.

One lane of the road was blocked for some time after the crash, but no-one was injured, the spokeswoman said.

And in Dunedin, no-one was seriously hurt when a car hit a parked car on Taieri Rd, near Wairoa St, at midnight on Friday, police said.
