Central Campus students show culinary class

A team from Otago Polytechnic's Central Campus sizzled their way to gold and silver medals in the kitchen and front of house sections of the annual Nestle Toque d'Or student culinary competition held in Auckland this week.

Harmanish Kaur Rangi won gold, impressing patrons with her front-of-house service skill-set in a simulated restaurant.

Fellow Central Campus culinary students Charlie Burton and Edson Sy, who won silver medals, competed in a three-hour kitchen cook-off, battling the clock under the scrutiny of top industry judges.
