Pigs on the loose get in the way

A big pig and a little pig caused havoc with traffic near a honey stall in Central Otago yesterday.

A police spokeswoman said officers were sent to Luggate-Cromwell Rd (State Highway 6) near Queensberry about 12.20pm yesterday.

While no cars were believed to have hit the pigs, a vehicle had to swerve after one stopped in front of it.

One of the pigs was pink and the other was brown and black.

They had been running on the road and animal control was notified, the spokeswoman said.
