Grant for upgrade

A $25,000 grant is the "last piece in the puzzle" for the committee carrying out the upgrade of the Becks District War Memorial Hall.

The Otago Community Trust announced the grant yesterday, as one of $144,300 given to 26 Otago organisations last month.

"We're thrilled to get this. We've had our plans completed for a while and wanted to get all the funding in place before finalising the paperwork to get building consent," hall committee secretary Gill Naylor said.

Naseby Vision has been given $4000 to help with the cost of writing the history of Naseby.
