Man injured

A man was taken to hospital after a three-car nose-to-tail crash on State Highway 6, near the Shotover Bridge, in Queenstown, just before 5pm yesterday.

Constable Matthew Hargreaves, of Queenstown, said the damage to one car, a Ford Falcon, was ''fairly extensive'' while the others were ''shunted''.

As to the cause, Const Hargreaves said: ''It's too early to say at this stage.''

St John spokesman Ian Henderson said a man aged in his 20s suffered minor injuries.
