Queenstown sleepout fire extinguished

A fire in a sleepout in central Queenstown has been extinguished.

Firefighters were called to a ”well involved” house fire on Suburb Street, just outside of the CBD, at 7.36am.

A Fire and Emergency NZ spokeswoman said the fire turned out to be located in a small sleepout, about two metres by three metres.

It had been extinguished by 8.15am, she said.
