six veterinary surgeons from Balclutha and Milton who tendered their resignations from Clutha Vets had withdrawn them, company board chairman Garth Shaw said yesterday.
Former chairman Peter Allison resigned in April, and several vets employed by Clutha Vets had tendered their resignations, because of issues with chief executive Meredith MacKenzie, who was appointed in March last year.
Ms MacKenzie resigned in the first week of May this year.
"Following discussion with these large-animal vets, their resignations have been withdrawn," Mr Shaw said.
"The addition of two new graduates who started at the beginning of 2010 leaves us in a strong position to continue to provide an excellent service from now forward."
Mr Shaw said there had been no changes in administration or retail staff.
The board was looking at all possible business structures to take Clutha Vets forward, he said.
"For an interim period while the review of possible business structures is being undertaken, the business will be managed on a day-to-day basis by a management team comprising of some senior staff, myself and the senior vice-chairman of the board, Charles Macfie."
Mr Shaw said he hoped the announcement would "ease any lingering concerns" about staffing issues.
