Police are calling on the public for sightings of a young boy in the hours before his death in a pond in Gore last month.

Lachlan Paul Graham Jones (3) was found dead in a wastewater treatment pond late on Tuesday, January 29.

Police today said they wanted to hear from anyone who had seen Lachlan on Salford St that evening between 8.45pm and 9.30pm.

Lachlan had mousy/blond hair and was wearing a high-visibility vest and shorts.

Police said they were alerted to his disappearance about 9.30pm that evening.

Lachlan was found in the pond about 11.15pm after a search by residents, police and LandSAR. They were unable to resuscitate him.
