Tertiary Education Minister Pete Hodgson conducted the brief formalities and was soon after handed a cup of coffee and mingled with the very staff who will enjoy the facilities on a daily basis.
The $220,000 development was built next door to the former staffroom, which has been converted into a classroom.
Telford chief executive Jonathan Walmisley said the facilities were very modern and warm and would be used by staff and others almost every day of the year.
One half of the new building is a dedicated meeting room for the Telford council, Farm Board and a host of other committees and groups.
He estimated the room would be used upwards of 100 days a year. On the other side is a large staffroom for the 50 staff.
The development not only provided updated facilities but allowed Telford to better use existing buildings, Mr Walmisley said.
Mr Hodgson also unveiled a plaque commemorating the occasion.
