The thefts occurred at the company's depot in Gore on the nights of Monday, July 21, and Wednesday, July 23, between 8pm and 6.30am.
Even though Gore police were investigating, Mr Agnew offered the reward because ‘‘the novelty has definitely worn off''.
About 700 litres to 800 litres of diesel in a variety of containers had been stolen, Mr Agnew said. That was a pump value of between $1300 and $1500, he said.
‘‘A fair chunk of them [containers] would be plastic Caltex ones, which are bluey green in colour, with Caltex stickers on them.
‘‘As we've taken security precautions that means they [the thieves] can't get vehicle access to our depot. The thieves would have had to carry the containers by hand to a vehicle close by, possibly parked in Oreti St, '' he said. - Any information can be relayed in confidence by phoning McNab Transport on (03) 203-9266 or Roy Agnew on 027 438-5565.
