One person has been seriously injured in a workplace incident in Invercargill's CBD.
A police spokeswoman confirmed a person was taken to hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a workplace incident on Esk St about 1.30pm.
Worksafe had been notified and enquiries were ongoing to establish the circumstances.
A St John spokesman said the person was taken to Southland Hospital.
