While they did not win their section, they were finalists in excellence in teaching and learning for their nature-based learning environment.
Teacher Christina Vaughan said yesterday, ''We are having a 'bucket list for teachers' experience here in Wellington ... We spent the evening celebrating alongside our fellow finalists from across New Zealand.''
Standing outside the Beehive for a photo were some of the team members (from left) Ellen Morrison, Megan Graham, Judy Brown, Christina Vaughan and Antonia Murphy.
Minister of Education Chris Hipkins presented them with a certificate and a $3000 cheque.
The team was also presented with a certificate and trophy at New Zealand Kindergartens headquarters by chief executive Jill Bond, having been named the recipient of the 2019 NZK Cultural Award on September 6.
