A Dunedin woman kicked in two sliding doors, smashing the glass, during an alleged drug and alcohol-fuelled rampage through a holiday park reception.

The 26-year-old woman — who appeared to be under the influence of multiple substances — was restrained by staff and a guest before police arrived, Sergeant Matt Lee said.

The woman had been ‘‘yelling and screaming’’ in the reception area of the Dunedin Holiday Park in Victoria Rd, St Kilda, yesterday afternoon.

Staff asked her to leave, however she then pushed multiple items off the front desk, damaging the contents.

She then kicked at a glass sliding door, shattering the glass in two of the panes.

While staff were attempting to restrain her to stop the damage, she assaulted them and threatened to kill them.

A guest then jumped in to assist.

Police arrived and arrested the woman.

She was charged with disorderly behaviour likely to cause violence, threats to kill, assault and wilful damage, and would appear in Dunedin District Court today.
