Awarua Whanau Services youth worker Michael Gellatly ran and walked 60km in under 12 hours on Saturday.
Mr Gellatly said the number 60 represented the statistic that 60 men committed suicide every hour around the world.
He wanted to raise awareness in the community about mental health and offer help.
"We want to let people know that if men are looking for support, then they could come into work and we could try find them support."
Mr Gellatly, his colleague Hana Bryant and mate Wiremu Heihei walked 60km and Awarua Whanau Services kaihautu Jim Hauraki completed the 60km on his push bike.
Mr Gellatly said he had been going through some personal things and finishing the 60km felt like it gave him a fresh start.
The crew all woke up with blisters and had a pretty sore and immobile Sunday but were up and about again by Tuesday, he said.
The day was split into eight different legs and lots of different people came and joined the crew at various points throughout the day.
Mr Gellatly’s former rugby coach and manager also joined him and gave him some sage advice to keep him going.
"One of them said to me ‘you have the choice to stop, you’re feeling the pain and it’s up to you to stop but people that are at hospital and have the pain, they don’t have that choice to stop’, which was a bit more of a motivator to push through the pain and get it done."
