The New Zealand XI have capped off a good morning session with a sporting declaration 25 minutes before lunch on day three of its warm-up game against England.
Left-hander Corey Anderson blasted a half century from 49 deliveries but was out when he tried to play one shot too many on 67.
He played a very fine hand nonetheless, and combined in a 105-run stand with BJ Watling for the seventh-wicket.
Watling was undefeated on 66 when the captain, Tom Latham, made the declaration at 349 for seven.
England negotiated four overs safely and went to the break at 15 without loss. They lead by 92 runs.
