The Australian shooter will join the Steel from the Gold Coast Titans, joining fellow Titans team-mate and defender, Jess Milne, as the team’s imports for the ANZ Premiership next year.
Bingham, who benefits from a recent Netball New Zealand rule change allowing two imports per team, is excited about joining the team.
‘‘I’m incredibly excited to be joining a club with such a rich history and to become part of a community that’s so passionate about netball,’’ Bingham said.
‘‘I can’t wait to get out, meet everyone and immerse myself in the environment.’’
The 25-year-old is looking forward to adapting to the Kiwi style and is touted to have ‘‘speed and creative flair’’, paired with confidence to go to the post from anywhere.
‘‘My personal goal for 2026 is to take my game to the next level and continue to add to my tool kit across both GA and GS.
‘‘I want to be able to make positive contributions both on and off court and take each opportunity with both hands to help deliver success for Steel.’’
Steel coach Wendy Frew said Bingham brought speed and agility across the court.
‘‘She’s a real gun at the two-point shot, so it’s pretty exciting to see how we can exploit that in the last five minutes of quarters,’’ Frew said.
‘‘She’s really excited about the opportunity and had been playing for the Titans alongside Jess.
‘‘I’ve had a lot of good meetings with them both and they’re really going to relish the opportunity of coming to New Zealand and playing in our league.’’
They complete the Steel’s roster for 2026 which has shaped well with seven returning players.
Silver Ferns Georgia Heffernan, Kimiora Poi and Carys Stythe make an impressive spine, alongside dominant shooter Aliyah Dunn, ruthless wing defence Renee Savai’inaea and New Zealand under-21 players Serina Daunakamakama and Khanye-Lii’ Munro-Nonoa.
Midcourter Ashleigh Poi earns a full contract, replacing Kate Heffernan, who is heading to the Adelaide Thunderbirds.
Former Silver Fern Temepara Bailey has re-signed as the Northern Stars head coach. Former Queensland Firebirds defender Ash Barnett and former Pulse defender Laura Balmer have signed with the Mainland Tactix.
The Central Pulse is the only team with spots to fill.
