They were hard to miss. And their stones were going to the right. Far right, some would say.

The four members of the Trumped curling team — (from left) Bob Perriam, Craig Benington, Peter McCall and Kelvin Collins — stood out at the first day of the curling competition at the Dunedin Ice Stadium yesterday.

They looked splendid in their jeans, and white shirts and orange ties but most importantly, that cannot-be-missed hair was there in full view.

It really is amazing what you can buy on the internet these days.

The team of four former Gore High School pupils has entered several Masters Games over the years.

The team had worn different costumes in their time at the games but this Trump caper would take some topping.

No-one yesterday was  saying  who came up with the idea of the Trump costume but the side did enough to win its first game.
