Four more medals for Neptune at nationals

Neptune swimmers have added another four medals to Otago’s haul at the national age group swimming championships in Wellington.

Erika Fairweather claimed her third gold and fourth medal of the meeting in the girls 12-13 200m freestyle.

She swam 2min 06.89sec to win the final from Tyler Finau, who finished in 2min 10.77sec.

Jessica Scott and the Neptune 15 girls relay team both won silver. Scott finished second in the girls 14 50m butterfly.

She finished in 29.06sec, behind Alice Waldow (28.66sec), but in front of Katie McBride (29.42sec).

In the 15 girls 400m relay, Neptune finished in 4min 05.22sec, just over a second behind first-placed United.

Geoffrey Kemp won a bronze in the boys 15 400m IM. He swam a time of 4min 53.37sec to beat  United’s Bailey Wang, who finished in 4min 53.42sec.
