To coincide with the London Olympic Games, staff and children at Teviot Valley Educare in Roxburgh have been holding their own 'Olympics' this week.

They have been lighting an Olympic torch each morning and listening to the national anthem, then taking part in a variety of sports.

Weight lifting was popular, and everyone had a turn at lifting 4 litres of water, while outside they did egg and spoon races and hurdle jumping.

Everyone received a handshake and had a turn on the podium.
