The 2013 Southern Region Registered Master Builders House of the Year Awards, in association with PlaceMakers, held recently in Invercargill was a chance for all Registered Master Builders from the Southern region encompassing Otago, Southland and Gore to showcase their expertise in all levels of residential construction, from renovations through to high-end new homes.

The judging for each of the categories is consistent nationwide, which means every entry is judged against the same criteria and by the same judges as a builder in Nelson or Taranaki.

Entry standards are extremely high and to be successful requires the utmost attntion to detail and top quality workmanship.

These awards are a benchmark for building excellence around the country and recognition through achievement of Gold, Silver and Bronze quality marks proves the exceptional work our members produce.

In 2013 there will be 11 regional events. Throughout the country the top 100 residential properties will go through to a national awards night to be held in Auckland in November.

This supplement details many of the Southern region's entries.

We hope this publication provides you with inspiration, ideas, and the knowledge that if you are planning to renovate or build a new home you can guarantee the workmanship of a Registered Master Builder.
