    This is a sweet story from one of my favourite NZ children's book authors.

    In Bye! Bye! Bye! a young girl must farewell her pets before going on holiday.

    And there are a lot of them, including pretty kitty cat, fuzzy wuzzy mouse and hoppy boppy bunny.

    Stephanie Junovich's drawings are soft and chalky, conveying love between the little girl and her pets, and her sorrow at having to leave them behind, while Juliette MacIver's sweet, simple rhymes and repetition build towards a happy ending.

    Ages: 2-3.
