Setting up new equipment
Every video, DVD or older personal video recorder (PVR) will need to be receiving digital TV from a set-top box if you want to keep using it to record.
If you want to record one channel while watching another, your recording device will need its own set-top box.
For best results, or if recording is important to you, you may want to consider a digital PVR which is a set-top box and recorder in one.
