Today, February 14
Outram Garden Club Flower Show, Outram Church hall, Holyhead St, 2pm-6pm. Admission $2, entries unlimited, $2 per exhibitor. Afternoon tea, raffle tickets and market table.

Sunday, February 16
Heritage apple tree grafting workshop with Central Otago Treegrowers Inc, 1-3pm, Queenstown Harvest Community Gardens, top of Gorge Rd on the right. Cost $25 (free to NZ Treegrower members). Take home two grafted heritage apple trees.

Tuesday, February 18
Sawyers Bay Garden Club mini flower show and meeting, Emmanuel Church hall, Station Rd, Sawyers Bay, 7.15pm. Hall open from 6.30pm for staging of exhibits.

Wednesday, February 19
Botanical Society of Otago hosts IPCC member Prof Ulf Molau, of the University of Gothenburg, to give a talk ''Climate Change: Impacts on Plants and Ecosystems in the Arctic'', Zoology Benham Building seminar room 215, 346 Great King St. Building is behind zoology car park by the Captain Cook Hotel. 5.20pm.

Thursday, February 20
Outram Garden Club garden visits, members to carpool, arriving at first garden at 7pm. Ringers will advise further information.

February 22 and 23
Dunedin Horticultural Society's grand summer show, Saturday 2pm to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm, Forbury Park Raceway, Dunedin. Saturday afternoon at 2pm and Sunday afternoon at 1pm: Unusual vegetables, their history, and how to grow and cook them. Admission, adults $5; members and children, free.

Monday, February 24
Palmerston Garden Circle bus trip to Maple Glen. Bus leaves Palmerston Community Centre at 8am. Bring morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, drinks and a chair. Raffles will be sold.

Thursday, February 27
Taieri Garden Club, in conjunction with the Festival of the Plains, evening self-drive garden tour of four Mosgiel gardens, 5.30pm-8.30pm. Tickets $10 from Garden Place, Wal's Plant Land, Mitre 10 Mosgiel. Inquiries to Amy 489-1473 or Nola 476-3994.

Saturday, March 1
Dunedin Dahlia Circle annual show, Forbury Park Raceway, 1.30-4pm. Free. Otago Daffodil Group will have bulbs on sale.
