Flash flooding has affected hundreds of homes on the NSW mid-north coast, with emergency services receiving more than 300 calls for assistance.
A severe weather warning is in place in the area with the majority of calls coming from the Port Macquarie region.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued flood warnings for the Bellinger River at Bellingen, the Orara River catchment, the Warrego River at Fords Bridge Bywash and the Paroo River at Willara Crossing.
NSW State Emergency Service have responded to about 200 calls for help since midday on Monday.
"It's mainly rural flooding, local road closures and the need for farmers to move their livestock," an SES spokesman told AAP.
"Also homes that need sandbagging and have leaking roofs," he said.
Further heavy rain is due to hit the area on Tuesday morning, with showers continuing throughout the day and into Wednesday, according to BoM.
