The man accused of raping and killing pastry chef Renea Lau will be sentenced today in a Melbourne court.
A drunk, angry and sexually frustrated Scott Allen Miller chased Ms Lau down, beat her unconscious, then dragged her to the Kings Domain park where he raped her twice in an attack in 2014 that lasted more than an hour, the Supreme Court of Victoria heard last week.
On Wednesday, Justice Berry King said Miller faced a lengthy prison sentence and would not be released before he reached his 60s.
He will be sentenced this afternoon.
