Sydney teen king-hit and stabbed

A 17-year-old boy has been king-hit and stabbed in what police describe as an unprovoked attack in Sydney's west.

The teenager and his 16-year-old friend had stepped off a bus at Ellsworth Drive in Tregear just after 9pm last night and were heading home.

Two men followed the pair off the bus and confronted the older teen, police say.

One of the men punched him in the face causing him to fall to the ground, before jumping on his legs, demanding his wallet before reaching into his pants for the cash.

The men fled and the boys ran home, where the 17-year-old realised his leg was bleeding. Paramedics treated him for a puncture wound that may have been caused by a screwdriver.

Police are looking for a man of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance in his 30s, and another of Pacific Islander appearance in his early 20s.
