Prof Sir Paul Callaghan, a leading international scientist and New Zealander of the Year, will give a public lecture in Dunedin this month about the country's future.
Sir Paul, a physicist at Victoria University, Wellington, will present the first Orokonui Landmark Lecture for this year at the University of Otago's St David Street Lecture Theatre on May 24.
The 7.30pm lecture is in support of Orokonui Ecosanctuary, specifically for the planned visit later this year by a kakapo called Sirocco, an ambassador for endangered forest parrots.
