A date has been set for the second Dunedin Craft Beer and Food Festival.
Otago University Students' Association (OUSA) general manager Darel Hall said it would be held on October 4, at Forsyth Barr Stadium.
Last year's event attracted about 3500 people and the OUSA wanted to build on its success by focusing on improving ''quality'', as opposed to increasing the numbers going, Mr Hall said.
An electronic payment system would be introduced to avoid last year's long queues and the stadium's pitch would also be used.
There would also be an increased focus on the matching of beer and whisky with foods, more ''family-friendly spaces'' and more details given about the provenance of the food on offer.
Like last year's event, it would be a ''town and gown'' affair, and students and the general public were encouraged to attend.
