A man forbidden from driving turned himself in to police after his car ran out of petrol in the middle of a central Dunedin street.
The 44-year-old man went into the Dunedin Central Police Station to explain why his car was blocking Filleul St about 11.50am on Tuesday, Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond said.
He went to the station to ask for advice, but then admitted he did not have a licence and had previously been forbidden from driving.
His car was towed and he will appear in the Dunedin District Court at a later date. — Allied Media
