As part of Cook Islands Language Week celebrations, Tūhura Otago Museum is  running workshops to teach visitors how to make an ei katu (flower crowns or head garlands).

The workshops run alongside the Kūki 'Āirani Exhibition about Piri'anga Toto: Blood Connections Through Objects (which finishes tomorrow), and the Ātui'ia au ki te vaka o tōku matakeinanga (Connect Me to the Canoe of My Tribe) panel discussion in the Hutton Theatre, at 11.30am today.

Otago Daily Times photographer PETER MCINTOSH went along.
