She is the ninth head of college in the 1909 college’s history and the first woman to hold the role.
During yesterday’s service she received four pastoral symbols to inform her work: a roll of this year’s Knox residents, to represent the duty of care; a Knox china cup, to represent the college’s heritage; an environmentally friendly keep cup, to represent the future; and an apple, to represent the teaching aspect of her role.
For the past five years she has served as the deputy head of college.
Her background before that was in secondary school teaching and leadership.
