Before they received qualifications in a wide range of disciplines yesterday, Otago Polytechnic chief executive Phil Ker urged the students to be leaders in their everyday lives.
"We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give - please give your leadership," he said.
More than 400 others graduated in absentia yesterday.
