A photograph of disgraced Olympian Arthur Parkin has been removed from the Wall of Fame at the University of Otago’s physical education school.

Parkin, who completed a PE diploma at Otago in the 1970s, was a Black Sticks star and Olympic gold medallist.

The 66-year-old was brought to trial after being accused of indecently assaulting young girls in Whangarei, Auckland and Coromandel between 1975 and 1983, and was found guilty of two charges in February.

He was jailed for one year and eight months last Friday.
