Car rolls on Dunedin one-way

A truck blocked the road on Dunedin's Southern Motorway in the second traffic incident this morning after the car rolled and ended up on its roof on the one-way heading north.

A reporter at the scene said the Mitsubishi Galant ended up on its roof on the left lane of SH1 heading north on Malcolm St, before the Captain Cook Hotel.

A police spokesman said the car was understood to have swiped a parked vehicle about 9am and rolled onto its roof.

St John spokesman Gerard Campbell said the driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by ambulance officers.

Police said the car was towed at 10.15am and both lanes were now open.
