Chills movie premieres

The Chills frontman Martin Phillipps with film director Julia Parnell before the New Zealand premiere of The Chills: The Triumph & Tragedy of Martin Phillipps, at the Regent Theatre, in Dunedin, last night.

The film tells the story of Phillipps and his band. It is a cautionary tale, a triumph over tragedy, and a statement about the meaning of music in our lives.

Speeches were given and several covers of his songs were performed by local musicians before the movie started.

The film will hit mainstream theatre screens nationwide today.
