Cruickshank house leader Emily Joyce said most of the junior pupils had not had the chance to enjoy an activity day and were missing out on part of the authentic school experience.

The house colours day was a way to enjoy the feeling of a sports day in a Covid-19 friendly setting.

It was also a chance to build relationships between junior and senior pupils, she said.
