Dunedin police are investigating after a crashed car was abandoned in Mornington this morning.
A police spokeswoman said the car was discovered shortly after 7am in Aitken Pl crashed in to a concrete power pole.
The driver of the hatchback was nowhere to be found and police were making inquiries to locate them, the spokeswoman said.
Power contractors, a tow truck and traffic management were all on scene assisting police.
