Milo supposedly "gives you more".
But for a 42-year-old man who stole a large tin of it from Pak’nSave on Sunday, it gave him more than he bargained for.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said after stealing the Milo, the man went across the South Dunedin car park to The Warehouse and started smashing an ATM.
Dunedin police were called by Pak’nSave staff about 5.50am
"Staff members at the supermarket were watching him smash the ATM, which appeared to aggravate him.
"The staff members closed the [supermarket’s] roller doors to keep themselves safe inside the building."
While the roller doors were closed, the man accessed the Pak’nSave forklift in the car park and lifted a parked vehicle.
Snr Sgt Bond said police arrived and charged him with two counts of unlawful interference, and theft.
He is due to appear in court.
