Driver freed after crash near Brighton

A driver has been pulled from a vehicle after being trapped following a two-car collision South of Brighton this afternoon.

A police spokeswoman said officers were called to the incident in Taieri Mouth Rd at 4.40pm.

Firefighters had to cut into the roof and removed the driver shortly after 6pm, she said.

The person's condition is unknown.

The road has reopened to one lane.
